Intimideer Mij Niet is a platform commissioned by the Municipality of Breda, aimed at making street harassment visible and open for discussion. Through (anonymous) reporting, storytelling, and information, it helps lower the threshold to speak up, and contributes to a safer, more inclusive public space.
The Municipality of Breda commissioned a rebrand of Intimideer Mij Niet to create a platform that feels safer, more accessible, and empowering. Especially for young women and LGBTQIA+ individuals. The previous identity didn’t resonate with the target audience and lacked emotional depth.
Together with UX designer Zainab Al Jabara, I conducted in-depth research into the target group, visual tone, accessibility, and color psychology. This formed the foundation for a rebrand that not only informs but truly connects.
Our main focus was redesigning the website to improve clarity, accessibility, and emotional connection. We restructured the user journey, making it easier to find urgent help, file a report within 5 minutes, and access relatable stories.
The new design introduces a softer tone of voice, and a modular structure that adapts per municipality. Each section, from reporting to reading blogs—now feels human, empowering, and safe.
